MY AUTOBIOGRAPHY

My name is Bernadine Carmalet Andall de Joslyn, I was born in 1963 in the Hospital General in Sangre Grande on the 20th of May 1963 in Tinidad and Tobago W.I. My mother is Jestina Andall and my Father was Edwards Francis, and he died in 2009 from Diabetic. My mother have six children, four girls and two boys, and I am the oldest of the girls.

I when to the Roman Catholic RC school up to seventh standard; and I had to stop studying because my mother gotten sick, at that time she had a stroke ( previously known medically as a cerebro vascular accident (CVA), is the rapid loss of brain function(s) due to disturbance in the blood supply to the brain ) when I was 12 years old, and drew of being the oldest doughter of the famaly I had to stay at home to take care of my smaller sisters and brothers.

I was growup al my youthfull life in Moolchan Street in a small village call Guaico, a close vicinity to Sangre Grande my home town; I even got married there to my first husband at the age of 17 and he was a that time 21 years old. I had my first boy child at the age of 16, and one year after I was married to Marlon Owin David the father of my first son at rhe age of 17, then I gave birth to four others, in all I have 5 chlidren 4 boys and 1 girl and are all over age, and I also have 6 grand children 3 boys and 3 girls.

In 1987 I was invited by my father- in- lay at that to visit Venezuela it was around christmas time, so I arrived in Venezuela with my daughter she were at the age of 2 years and 6 months old on the 1st of January 1988 in Caracas in el Paraíso 6 month after my husband came but things were the same between us as in Trinidad.

Yes, I was badly treated by my first husband I even has to suffer the humiliation of his unfaithfullness with others women here in Venezuela as well. My first marrage lasted for 10 years, it was not a bed of roses for me, I had a lot of domestical problems such as economic, physical, emocional, and verbal abused, so after 1 years living here with him I decided to leave for good. My father’s –in- laws got me a job to take care of two bebies girls they were twings, so I send back my daughter to my mother she were 4 year old because I couldn’t have have her the job; althought my mother had the rest of my kids the 4 boy, but they didn’t lasted long with her, because their father took them away when he retuned back to Trinidad because our marrage was al over. A

So my daughter grew up with my mother and her anties and uncles, and the boys with their father in Port of Spain why? because he sold our house and moved to Port of Spain forbidden our kids to visit my famalies not even their granmother at that time. Now all that are things of the pass, my kids are all bigmen and woman so they can do as the please.

¡¡¡ Oh how my kids suffed while they were growing up !!!, especailly the boys they were also bad treated by their own father and stepmothers My daughter also had her fear share from my stepfather she were verbally abuse and reproched by him, she were told things that wasn’t true about me.

and also the boy. There are so many things to say about my life, so many personal things buy at this stage in my life it really don’t make any sence writting about now maby in part II

In 1990 I happened to meet my actual husband through one of his sister, I came to know her because we were renting a room in the same building en Chacaito in Caracas. In 1991 one year after we decided to live together in Maracay so we builded a two room piece in the back yeard of his parents house, and I left the job after 2 years taking care of the twings bebies.

After that in 1992 I decided to study the venezuelian’s language in el Limon in the primary schoo at night for adults where I had to start from scratch, what I mean is that I had to start from the begaining from 1st standard to 6th standard. At the same time I got a Job to teach english in the Bernal International Institute C.A. in el 19 de Abril in the Henry Pittier Building. In 1997 I decided to leave the job, and stayed at home and work as a hairdresser putting on hairs extentions and breadings. it paid me better then to do so.

So I worked as an english teacher there for 5 year which I recieved 3 plaque recognition award for my good work. Since then I haven’t teached english again. In 2000 I enter Julio Moralez high school in el Limon for adults at night, where I studyed continúe studies up to first part of the 4th year . So in all I lived in el Limon el Progeso Via Mata Seca for 14 years. From 1991 to 2004.

In 2004 I decided to leave my father’s in laws place and Live by my self while we waited my actual husband and I, for our house from the present government, ( life was not easy for mi there, although as I said before, we builded our Little place, thinks were getting toffer for me there with my in laws, they envied me for what Iam and for what I have acomplished ), so we dicided to rent a small house in La Pica Palo Negro Municipio Libertador.

In 2005 the 27th of April my husband recieved the the house from the government as we had long and hope for, but never the less I was in Trinidad visiting my kids and famalies at that time, and it is there, where I recieved the goodnews from my husband then.

In that same year 2005 we gotten married at my actual father’s in laws house on the 21 of May the day after my 42nd birthday. From that time still now we are living in our own home in the Urbanizacion Base Aerea el Libertador sector “C” Av. Polideportivo Casa Nº 157 Palo Negro Municipio Libertador Maracay Estado Aragua Venezuela S.A.

So now after 23 years in Venezuela, who has giving me the oportuniy to get raid of my first love, my first husband, my 5 children father who didn’t value me as a person, much less as his lawfull wife. Venezuela also giving me the oportunity to meet someone else who for the pass 20 years has done what he could to make a better life for me, he’s not rich, but he works hard to earn his salary at Airforce Base El Libertador Palo Negro Municipo Libertador Estado Aragua Maracay Venzuela S.A. and I am gratefull of him for that. We don’t have any chlidren together, but my kids are his, and he has acepted that from begaining and he continues to do so presently.

I also gave thank the bolivarian’s governmente espacially to the President Chavez for gaving me the oportunity to continue with muy estudies. I finishes my high school studies in 2007 in la Ovallera in the Siso Martinez high school Misión Ribas, I couldn’t recieved my Bachelor digree then drew a espelling mistake of my second name on my venezuelian identification card since 1989 when I recieved my first I.D. card in the ONIDEX in Caracas, and I didn’t even notice , still the officer of Ministry of Education infrom me about it, well It took me almost one year to solved the problem, but even so, that wasn’t a setback for me to enter in the Venezuelain Bolivarian University in March 2008.

The 30- 06 2008, I recieved at las my Bachelor digree integral Misión Ribas.

Ahora I am studying since then, social management for local development, it a 5 years, career; I’m in the 6th semester, I have 4 more to go to get my Master’s Degree, in Social Management for Local Development, but next year 2012, I am go to get my technical superior degree in Social Management for Local Development
